what does it mean for a band to get bottled?
Apparently Black Veil Brides (this rock band I think) got bottled at 'Download festival' and its all over my twitter and I'm just really confused >.<

The audience threw bottles at them. It's basically sayig that they are awful.

Yes they are a rock band.They are all over K! too!
Ok Bottling means to have junk thrown at a band for instance My chemical Romance were amoungst quite a few band who got bottled at Reading Festival 2006. sorry for my constant MCR but i just love them. |

The crowd throws things at the performing band (usually including beer bottles)
It doesn't necessarily mean the band is bad, just that the audience thinks it is. I think it happens when a band is placed in a lineup of other bands that are a different genre. Like when My Chem was bottled, they had been put in with much heavier bands that were nothing like them. I think its extremely rude of crowds and that everyone should respect different music! |
