What is the difference between Facebook and Skype?
I am trying to convince my mother to let me have a a skype considering I'm going to a different high school and am not going to see my friends next year, so I need to know how the 2 are different otherwise I might lose some of my friends forever. Please help! I'd aprreciate it very much!
Oh! I would be IM-ing not Video Chatting. Ads |

Skype is just voice chat and text chat using your phone number.
For Facebook, you're able to post statuses and post on each other's wall/timeline. More people use Facebook, but it's addicting to some people. I would suggest getting Facebook. |

Facebook is a social network. It's designed to help you share personal information with your friends and friends of friends. Skype is a Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) service. Basically, it's an Internet telephone. It can even call traditional telephones. the only difference is that you can do video chat too.

Skype is better because it is webcam and IM based and is a downloadable program, therefore it can be left running in the background, all the time your computer is on allowing your friends to contact you whenever. However, facebook has an easier layout but is less webcam based and being a website means unless you leave your browser running, your friends can only leave you messages, not instant chat.
Hope this helped! |

The main different I define that, I login with my skype account randomly. But I need to login my facebook account each every day several times from my different facebook accounts!
Do I need to describe more differentness about this both? |
