Why aren't I receiving notifications from my close friends list on facebook?
I am not receiving any notifications on my iphone or macbook when my 'Close friends' list update their status's or add photos etc. I have checked to see if the little gold star is on their 'friends panel' and it is, I have also made sure that I have ticked the updates I want to be updated on. I am not receoving any notification whatsoever on an app version or a desktop version.
SOMEONE PLEASE HELP?!

Make sure your privacy settings are set properly. In case, if you have chosen only to receive only the important updates or not at all then it could be one reason. Other reason could be that they simply have edited their privacy settings to hide those from certain group of people or from you (using a customized list which might include you as well)
