Help on Essay Topics? (Twitter/Facebook)?

We have to do an essay for English class and I kind of wanted to do it about twitter/Facebook. I was thinking about how people on twitter sync their accounts to FB and its annoying because of the constant updates and all the hashtags... but I don't think that would be a good idea.

What do you think would be some good topics having to do with twitter and facebook?

People constantly update their Facebooks and i think that's why twitter is for . How they're both addicting to some people , famous people to be exact.

How the use of facebook and twitter is effective in spreading news faster than the actual news can dish it out. or how facebook and twitter allow people to expand their social horizons without leaving their house. or how people are using facebook and twitter to advocate for themselves, politicians, products etc. or perhaps compare and contrast that factors that contribute to the popularity of those websites.

But on a serious note it depends of what kind of essay you have to write. sorry if this didnt help
