How do I get notifications for Facebook on my iPod Touch?

I want to get a little bubble notification for the Facebook app on my new iPod Touch. I go under settings, click notifications, but the only thing that pops up is Game Center. There are no other app options. What's wrong? What do I do?

From the home screen try going into the settings application; then scroll down to the bottom of this initial menu. You should see folders for your individual applications. Hit the bar that says Facebook. Then hit push notifications for this specific app. Then you can choose which notifications you want turned on.

If this doesn't work scroll to the top of the original settings screen and hit the notifications bar. Make sure the Notifications is on and not disabled.

If neither of those things work you could try updating your facebook app or the software on your ipod.
