What changes did facebook introduce that has upset a lot of users?

Did FB do something to upset its target group? I am not on FB but know tons of people who are hooked to it.

Just wondering what FB did that has caused "distress" to its users?

Over optimization of FB makes people work according to its wish rather than people deciding what to do. Also the changes with FB image preview, right now, that takes us back to ages. Huh!

Firstly, I don't like the new box that reveals what games I played, the current games I am in, and that of my friends also. It is an infringement of my privacy. Sometimes I prefer to be 'offline' when playing games. But that option is useless now because my status is revealed on my page. STUPID!
Secondly, my page is too cluttered with repeat messages and old activities.
Finally, I use FB for pleasure and pastime. I do not want to be bogged down with useless and mindless changes. I am thinking about giving Twitter a chance instead of FB.
