How come youtube and facebook doesnt work in china?

I heard that youtube and facebook dont work in china. but i have this friend in taiwan that uses facebook and youtube o.o. so does that mean, facebook nad utube only works in taiwan?

China controls their ISPs, and they are known to block social networking sites and access to sites across the world.
Its their policy of controlling media the citizens can read. Taiwan is a little more outgoing than china.

no it just matters which nations internet access you use. if you put .cn you get china but .co.uk you are in brittian's internet. so you can access facebook if still in china

um taiwan is a country free from the control of china now. It's like Philippines. And the reason China doesn't allow youtube and facebook is because they don't want the people to report their crimes to the world through public communication.
