I'm 14, the brother is 18, but we talk on facebook and stuff, 'cause we can kinda identify with each-other's situations. He's just nice, and he's one of my friends, but should I feel guilty? I don't want my ex to feel as if I'm trying to be mean to him by being friends with his brother and not him. What should I do?

The question is: Do you mean to be mean to your ex? Be honest.

Even though people are related to one another, they don't necessarily have the same attitude and personality. Perhaps you are drawn to a different personality than that of your ex, and you've found that personality in the ex's brother.

I would step back, it would be awkward if he started to gain feelings for you or you about him. It would be a relationship headed for disaster & he way tooooo old for you any ways. What would a 14yr old really have in common with an 18yr old?? Remove yourself from this awkward situation before it gets worstSmile

It's according. Was he the cause of the break up? If yes, it's a good pay back and don't feel guilty. If you were the cause, yes it looks bad and you should feel a little guilty. And if it was mutual there is no reason you should not be friends.
