how do I make my pins show up in the search box on pinterest?

When I upload my own pictures onto pinterest, they never show up in the search.
Is there some way of tagging them or something?

Sure! You can use hashtags in Pinterest just like you do with Twitter. So if your keyword does not appear in your title or description, just add it at the end with a hashtag. For example, if you pin a slow cooker beef recipe, you can add multiple hashtags such as #beef #slowcooker. (Hashtags must be all one word.)

Pinterest is pretty slow to update their search engine sometimes, so be a little patient. It may take a few minutes (or even a day!) for your item to show up in the search.
