What does a # before a word mean on facebook?
In statuses, when people post a # then a word, what does that mean?
Ex: "status status status. #predictable"

it's just a tag so when people search predictable, that status will show up. usually it's only for twitter though

its a hashtag for twitter, usually to link to a popular topic.
