How do I keep my notification from leaving after I check it?

You know when you get a notification on facebook and you click on it and it disappears is there anyway i can prevent that?
No i mean the number form disappering. Like i want to check it and i can log back on and see that i still have an notification
Im on somebody else's and I dont want them to know I check it. But i want advice not negative comments. I would prefer that you minding your own business BTW.

it doesnt dissapear just click on notifications and they will all be there

why would you want to keep the # of notifications? so they can accumulate or what? that's stupid btw.

ummm thats a tough one.sumtimes if u open new tabs or refresh it will reapear but im not sure that will hapoen on purpose...
