Girl cancels first date, should I reschedule or should she?

Ok so There's this girl that I like and likes me back so I asked her to go with me on a date, but 2 hours before the date she messages me on facebook saying something came up, her father apparently got rushed to the hospital so she can't make it and she said sorry. No she hasn't rescheduled anything, should I be the one to ask her again or should I stand my ground and wait for her to reschedule?

In a case like this, I'd go ahead and call her to reschedule. This was something beyond her control, and it's generally a good idea to appear sympathetic to what she's going through. If she truly is interested in going out with you, she will pick out a new time.
