How do you meet someone you met online?

I know this guy who lives in my town. I know his sister really well. We started talking on facebook and texting a lot. He wants to hang out. It's not like he's a stranger, I know he's not some creepy old man. How do I meet him. Will it be awkward? I usually like to get to know people in person, but this was different. What do I do?

Think of it as a blind date, to a sense. You have spoken with him, but never met. Maybe make it a just friends thing at first, so there isn't any pressure. And see where it goes from there.

it will be awkward. i did that before. and we had like nothing to talk about lol. but when u hang out for the first time its kinda fun cuz ur both more interested in eachother so u will talk more.
