How can I reinstate the Farmville notifications on the new facebook?

I hid the Farmville notifications in the knowledge that I could reinstate them. Now I can't find where.

I see some advice from internet but click on news and then Live feed does not work. It shows Farmville but no notifications whatsoever.
I also do not get e-mail notifications, for which I did sign up.

Who knows what to do?

Try this and see if it works:

1) Click on Home so it takes you to the news feed.
2) On the left hand side, click on friends(should be right above applications).
3) Then 2 indented options under friend will appear, "Find Friends" and "Status Updates". Click on
"Status Updates".
4) Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the blue link "Edit Options". This will cause a pop up.
5) At the top of the pop up, click on "Applications".
6) Finally scroll down to Farmville and click on the button next to it that says "Add to News Feed".
