Do not have my dad picture or last name. My mom is Vietnamese and she destroyed the entire document related to him since the communist took over the country because she was so scared of them.

If that's all you know, unless his first name was something like Rumpelstiltskin, you'll never find him. Is your mom still living, or any relatives who might know more about him?

A first name is not enough to find anyone. If your mom doesn't know, there is probably no way.

Go on Facebook and send a message to Brian Hjort, who is in Sweden and the most successful Amerasian father-finder for Vietnamese. Tell him that you were referred to him by Kyle in Washington, and that Kyle told you he would help if he can.
Ask youd mother many detailed questions about your father: nickname, unit name/number/location, family members/hometown in the US, anything. She may have such identifying details which have often been enough to allow the father search to proceed. Good luck! |
