if a person denies your request on facebook does that mean you cant send messages anymore?

ive been a huge twitter fan for awhile now. but my stepson introduced me to facebook. well i found a friend a haven't seen in about a year, i sent him a message, but it then asked me to send a friend request. if he denies it does that mean i cant send him messages anymore?

IT means he doesn't want to be your friend and Facebook will probally not allow you to send anything.

Nope, you can still message him but people rarely ever deny a friend request.
