Use the Hash key (#) and write....

For example

Just got a promotion! #Bestdayever!

Ran out of class screaming #YOLO today #inbigtroublewithmum

Watching this great show #BGT

Or so on and so forth.

Further to Hayley's brilliant answer, you can also make up your own hashtags using exactly the same method, just in case you weren't aware of it already of course!

There's also hashtags.org so you can see what hashtags already exist and how popular they are.
