Help !! How do I stop seeing people's check-in(s) on my facebook notifications?

I think someone has put their updates/posts to appear on my notifications. How do I stop seeing posts/ check-ins from that person? Thanks a lot.

I don't use Facebook..... but I must say you type kinda pretty.

Hover your mouse over the person's name and you should see a popup with the word 'friends' at the bottom. Hover over that, and you'll see something like 'subscribed in news feed'. If you uncheck that, you shouldn't see them any more.

alternatively of course you could just unfriend them.
