what does RT mean? What does # mean on twitter?

RT stands for Re Tweet
if you see a post/tweet that you like ,then you retweet it

and the number is like a way to tag something/someone
it's called a "Hash tag"

RT means "Retweet". it means that someone "re posted" someone else's tweet.
And a "#" means you tag your post in a topic. Like for instance "its a beautiful day! #lovinlife"
when you click on "#lovinlife", everyone who also put this tags tweets will come up.
