How do I get more followers on twitter?

Please don't say things like "nobody uses twitter" or "get Facebook" I have a YouTube account with about 100+ viewers but they don't follow me! How do I get followers from anywhere? I tried friending random people but only about a third of them follow me back. Any tips?

Yes, my bro is an expert at it.. Basically you need to follow only the right people, firstly if there are people you are following who arent returning the favour, drop them, it makes it look like you are desperate for followers.

Now the most IMPORTANT thing to do is Tweet really interesting or funny or whitty stuff, then people "retweet" it and their followers then follow you! your numbers could go up over night.... whats your twitter n i'll follow you
