How to remove/disconnect facebook from my Instagram?

i've gone to the "apps" page on facebook and removed instagram from there, but i still get notifications on instagram whenever a facebook friend makes their own instagram. i want that to stop and i dont want my instagram found by others using my facebook. how can i stop this?
Facebook isn't checked under my sharing =/

- Go to your profile on Instagram ( far right tab )
- click settings button ( top right corner )
- then go to sharing settings and undo the checkmark for Facebook

Just figured it out! On your facebook, go to account settings, then apps and if instagram is listed under "You have authorized these apps to interact with your Facebook account:" then just delete it off there. Hope that does it.

iguess you have to log into facebook &see if your instagram is connected threw there.
