Do I need permission from both parents to take a photograph of a child?
If I wanted to take a photograph of a child (relative) and put it on the internet (e.g. Facebook), do I need permission from both parents, or is one of them sufficient?

I think it would be best to get permission from both parents. The other one could try to pull legal action on you if they found out.
I personally would not want anyone to post pictures of my child on Facebook, especially without my permission.

if they are divorced or not together and they have joint custody, then yes. if they are married, only one has to sign.

i actually, just went thought this. my oldest has cancer, and we are in the make a wish foundation. my kids' dad had to sign, becuase we share joint custody. but the child me and my hubby have together, only he had to sign.

good job getting permission-i would be pissed if someone plastered my kids on the internet without me knowing. its ok if i knew , ut not if i didn't

Get written permission from at least one parent and let them look at the pictures. That way they can't say they didn't know it was going to be put up.
