How do you get birthday notifications on facebook?

Apparantely my friends get notifications from facebook whenever a friend has a birthday coming up, but I don't have that. How do I get that?

You can easily see upcoming birthdays by clicking the Events filter on your home page and then selecting Birthdays. This page will display the upcoming birthdays for the month.

If none of your friends have a birthday today, you will not see a Birthdays section on your home page. In addition, we will never show your own birthday in this box, but rest assured that we will notify your friends of your upcoming birthday if your privacy settings are set to allow them to view it.

Please also keep in mind that you may be unable to see some notifications depending on a user’s privacy settings. You can update how your birthday is displayed while editing your profile, as well as decide who can see your birthday on the Privacy Settings page.
