Boyfriend has single as his status on facebook?

I've been in a long distance relationship for about 2 years now. About 3 months ago my boyfriend changed his status on facebook to single. I asked him why he did this and he says it's because he doesn't have to show off that he's in a relationship. I wanna trust him but I'm worried that he doesn't even think this is a relationship that we're in and he has single to still be available to other woman. He does talk about a future with me. Should I trust him?

Well I want to say its just facebook, but you said that he changed it which means before it had said "in a relationship". If he says he changed it to single bc he doesn't need to show off that he's in a relationship, then why go through all of that trouble to change it? Its kind of ironic. He should have just left it at that I mean why does he have to show off that he has "single" on fb? I would be very careful about it. Try to talk about and tell him how that is making you feel.
