i havent really been on yahoo much im new can anyone tell me how to make my profile private if you can pleasse or tell me any other info i mite need to no.. thankyou so much hope you can help

Check all YA categories, answer wherever you like, then maybe pick a couple of categories which you know most about. If you concentrate on a few subjects, do additional research and answer quite a bit, you may start getting BA's soon and before you know it, you'll be in the next level...:-)

About your profile and hiding questions and answers...

Go to your profile, click "edit my info", scroll down to "privacy", under "Yahoo! Answers Network" mark both "on my public profile, hide my Q&A from people not in my Answers Network" and "on my public profile, hide my Answers Network from people who are not in it". Note: if you mark "allow other Answers users to be my fan", you may get fans and they will then be able to read all your Q&A. So either don't allow this or check regularly, who has added you as their contact.

In your profile also enable or disable the sharing of your questions with users of facebook, twitters and the like. Before you haven't made your choice a bubble may keep popping up requesting you to do so. Here's how: click on edit my info, scroll down to Y!Updates, make sure that <Don't share my updates> is displayed in the box, click <preview> at the bottom and then okay.
