What are some websites like facebook for kids?
I babysit this girl who sees me on Facebook. The minute I get up to take care of her brothers, she tries to make herself a Facebook! I've caught her the 2 times she has done it, but want to make sure she WILL NOT try again. I,basically, want a website where you can add people and post, but without it being a place where teens and adults are on.
BTW: games for young kids are acceptable to and search websites don't open on my computer.

you arent going to find a website like facebook for kids, because of the laws in the USA - you have to be at least 13 to do things like "interacting with strangers"

keep in mind that although facebook has lots of privacy settings, there are lots of little loopholes that end up exposing the little kids who think their stuff will be private to only the people they add

show her http://clubpenguin.com (disney based) and tell her she can use that

My sisters are on Club Penguin. It's sort of similar, because you can chat and send messages, and decorate your home and stuff. It's also great for kids, because of all the mini games and that kind of thing. There is no way for people to find out the real name or location of your child, unless the child tells them, which leads to them being banned for a bit. The site is heavily moderated, users are banned for hate speech and trying to find out and giving personal information. The other good thing is that photos and can't be uploaded, so you know your child won't accidentally come across any dodgy material. Basic membership is free, although you can pay to unlock more games, places, clothes etc.
ITS MONITORED CHAT, OR YOU SHE CAN PICK FROM A LIST OF WORDS/ PHRASES THEY PROVIDE.

-How old is she?

Whyville is great for young kids. Its monitored chat, or you can pick phrases also, you can design a new character and give it close and own characteristics. It is very educational also.

IM SORRY FOR ONLY PROVIDING CHAT WEBSITES, NOT SO MUCH OF A BLOG TYPE THING.

kol.com is a very great website, you can post online, get homework help, chat with buddies (monitored) and watch shows online.
