How can the US Government use MySpace or Facebook?
If you read George Orwell's "1984", Big Brother had the ability to speak to all citizens or specific groups of citizens at anytime. Big Brother could broadcast propaganda 24x7 and disabling the broadcasts could result in death?

They can because they are public domains, meaning that anybody that posts things on either website are not protected. You can also get arrested if you claim that you drink (and are underaged) and have a pic. (You may not even need the pic). It is evidence, it is like a written confession (or picture evidence). They can and will.
