How do i find my biological mother?
I was adopted when i was 11 and tht was also the same age tht i last saw my mother. I know her name, maiden name, and i think my dad knows her bday. How do i find her without signing up for one of those scamming websites? I have so many questions and im 24 now with children of my own. This wud help alot.

Hi, The best place to start is with the agency that handled the adoption. If they're no longer in existence, call the states DHS and ask who has custody of the records. The agency can open the records and if there's contact information entered, they will release this. You can also have your contact info entered.

As you know her name , search, Ancestry.com, Facebook and other online social sites.

You should also register with the following large, free search registries:
(These are well-known trusted sites)

ISSR - largest - download the registration form and mail it in. http://www.plumsite.com/isrr/
Reunion Registry at Adoption.com http://registry.adoption.com/
Adoption Registry Connect (registers by birth state) http://www.adopteeconnect.com/
G's Adoption Registry http://www.gsadoptionregistry.com/

There's many other places to register - call up you state with the words adoption registry to see more. Also check all the above online registries to see if someone is already looking for you.

Searching can be a slow process, all you can do is register and wait.
It takes patience. Best Wishes !
