How can I get more twitter followers?

It's not that I want more followers, I do, but I want more interaction because twitter isn't super fun without it.
So any ideas on how to get more followers?

become a belieber. tweet a lot. followers unfollow when you dont tweet a lot.

Engage with others that share your same interests.

Do a search on a particular keyword (like "soccer") and then follow and/or tweet at others that are talking about it!

to get lots of Twitter followers you need to engage and actively use Twitter.

Speak to as many people as you can, and treat your Twitter profile like you would a website. That means promoting it wherever you can, such as on forum signatures, on email signatures etc.

You can also add it to directories such as twello - google twello to see what its about.
