Why does this girl flirt if she has a boyfriend?

I've read all the signs, and im pretty sure she likes me. She has a boyfriend and doesn't talk about him much when i ask/mention him.

Ive technically known her for years and years, but lost contact over the last few and just started talking to her again when she found me on Facebook.

I think i may like her, but not sure yet, not sure what he status is though.

she thinks she's a player, or she just wants the attention. how ugly is her bf anyway that she feels the need to do this.

She definitely might like you. She might want to make sure she has the next guy on board before she breaks up with her boyfriend. Some girls are like that, they don't want to be without a boyfriend. Or...she could just like attention. I have a lot of friends who flirt with guys, not meaning anything by it really, just because it's a real rush to know this guy thinks you're attractive and you could probably snap your fingers and have him in a second. Especially when you've been in a relationship for a while and your significant other has sort of started taking you for granted.

Maybe she wants to try something new. she wants a new guy and you sir are on her radar. but don't get too serious if your interested as well. don't want to start drama when she's still with this fellow

I lost contact with someone that I knew from when I was little and recently got back in contact with him. I like him alot and we stay up until stupid o clock talking online,......I have "kinda" got a boyfriend its abit confusing at the minute but I do like this bloke I have recently got back in contact with....

there are alot of answers to this one. I had a girlfriend do the same for almost all of these reasons.
1. naturally flirty
2. anxiety issues that render her incapable of going 2 min without male company
3. she is interested in you (not necessarily not interested in her bf)
4. she is bored with bf or not happy with him
5. hoping to get a response out of unresponsive boyfriend

if life has shown me anything you are most likely up for the next boyfriend scenario.
