Can you be in a relationship with somebody on facebook if you're not friends?

to make a lonnnnnng story short - my boyfriend's facebook keeps getting hacked by this really weird guy and all lol so he keeps messaging me but i'm pretty sure its my boyfriend pretending to be this guy thats hacking his page and it pisses me offf when he messages me. so can i unfriend him but still be in a relationship with him? i don't want to see the drama start when it says that im single...because we're still together.

Just hide your relationship status under Account or Privacy settings. No one will know then haha

Omg... I had a similar problem.... Me and my bff shared an email account and then she pretended that we got hacked by a guy but it was SO obvious it was her! Just ignore the messages and when ur bf realizes (if It is him, that is) that u r ignoring the messages then he will probably get bored and stop sending messages. Hope this helped! Thanks!!!!
