How do I get my website seen?

It's sort of a blog of just random fun stuff to keep you from being bored. Like an entertainment website. Granted I've just started it yesterday. But....

There are literally hundreds of ways to get your website seen. My favorite is social networking. Open a Twitter account, and a Facebook account. Also learn to use RSS, and how to ping your website. Then find some web directories and place a link in them to your website. People say that doesn't work anymore, but it does help.

I suggest mentioning your new site in your facebook feed.

Also add it to your yahoo profile.
Then...
Tell all of your friends, add their links to your links page and tell them that you linked to them!
They will probably link back to you.

What kind of forums do you visit? Can you add your link to your profile?
What about relatives? Have you sent them all emails with your link included? Ask them for pictures to put up, ask them to post on your forum.

That's all I can think of for now, but once you get started, you should be seeing lots of visitors.
