Can i delete a post on facebook that was on my wall a friend put without them getting notified of it deleting?

A friend of mine posted something on my facebook wall that I don't want other people seeing, so I want to delete it. Is there a way of deleting it without them getting a notification that I had deleted the post or will they get notified?

i don't think they get notified anyway. but your friend might notice it's gone from you wall so you might as well just tell her that you want to delete it or else she might start asking questions once she realises you deleted it. if she is really your friend then she'll understand.

They'll get notified even if you delete it. But he/she won't be able to see it anymore. He/She will know what you said anyway when ur friend opens his/her e-mail account.
