Why am I getting four of the same Facebook emails in Outlook but not in Gmail?

So I like getting email notifications from Facebook, but in Outlook 2007, I am getting 4 of the same Facebook notification emails. I don't have this problem in the same email account in Gmail.... it looks like the problem is only happening in Outlook.... any help would be appreciated.

Sometimes services send multiple notifications just to be sure that it reaches you. I can't figure out any other explanation.
