Why does my guy friend never write on my facebook wall?

I have a crush on this guy who goes to college in another state, but comes from the same network of REALLY close friends, so we have to use other means of communication to talk to each other. We talk on the phone, text, and write lots of messages to each other via facebook, but he never writes on my wall. He writes on all of our friends' walls, but not mine. Why?
