I really need help understanding my sociology homework?
I really need help understanding this assignment, I just started the class and I know nothing about it, if someone could just help me get started with it, I am not asking for you to answer the question, thanks! "Keep a journal for a day; document ten social phenomena that you generally perceive as natural in your everyday life. Your journal could include notes on the way people greet each other, share public space, eat, and so on. Pick one and discuss alternative ways your daily life might proceed if this element had been different throughout history." I wrote down ten things but I don't know if they are valid examples. But then I researched social phenomena and I found examples as twitter and facebook. I just need someone to tell me what a correct example is for this question.

Hi klt,
Social phenomena involve interactions with other people. So any example of a social interaction you typically have with another person or persons would qualify for this assignment. Think of a typical day and what you do from morning till night. If you live with your parents, describe how you all interact in the morning. If you live in a college dorm or sorority house, describe how you interact with your roommate(s) or sorority sisters. Interaction, including verbal and non-verbal behaviors given and received from others qualifies as behavior you could write in your journal. Example: How would your life be different if you grew up in a culture where males and females were segregated so that you weren't allowed to interact with or even be alone in the same room as an unrelated male? What if you had to be accompanied by your father or brother when you went out in public? What if you weren't allowed to go to school because you are a woman? Regards.
