What will Wiccans and witches and mediums and energy displacers do for the apocalypse?
I am not christian nor catholic or baptist. I am Bahá'í. We respect all religion and walks of life look here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bah%C3%A1%27%C3%AD_Faith. Its not my religion that makes me think of apocalypse its all this madness going on around the world weather and people wise and if someone can help it would probably be those of you whom are open minded. My bad for the disrespect.

Hmm... So you're embracing the Christian apocalypse, from the Book of Revelation, which didn't even apply to modern times, but the times in which it was written?

I'm guessing you've jumped the 2012 bandwagon. Don't feel bad. Bunches of Wiccans and witches and mediums and new agers have embraced it too. It's New Age gurus who started that garbage.

Now, the madness with world weather? Volcanoes have been erupting for millions of years. Tornadoes, hurricanes, tsunamis, etc, they have always been with us. It's just these days, we have much better technology for reporting than we have in the past.

But what I find interesting is you call people energy displacers. So you're also on the bandwagon to see the death of all life on the planet? Do you worship Cthulhu too and pray for him to rise and destroy humanity?

Your question begs several questions.

Wicca is a religion. Witchcraft is a skillset, quite literally, a craft. Mediums are those whose extrasensory perception is open enough that they can communicate with spirits. Why are these three things lumped together in your question as if they are all exclusively related to each other? And WTF is an energy displacer?

The Earth has survived many cycles of what we may consider disasterous weather in the past...why do you feel it won't this time?

What madness is there now "people wise" that hasn't been there and expressed in some form since the beginning of people?

If you're not Christian or Jewish, why are you embracing their belief in an apocalypse, and if it were to happen, how would my being open-minded help anyone?

And how is anyone supposed to tell you what they would do in a completely hypothetical situation in the future?

As a Wiccan, I do not believe in an apocalypse. As a Wiccan, I form my understandings of the world by examining the world. As such, I know that there is always bad weather somewhere. Volcanoes erupt. Earthquakes happen. Hurricanes rage. Places flood. These are destructive, but not particularly noteworthy in the historical scheme do things. This is what the Earth has been doing for millions of years. Why would they be signifying the end of the world today but not last year or last century or last millennium?

"The apocalypse" generally denotes a Judeo-Christian belief. As a Wiccan, I am not a Judeo-Christian.

If you're meaning the 2012 nonsense, that comes from people who can't tell the difference between the end of a calendar and the end of the world. And even if it WAS a prediction of the end of the world, why would I believe it? I'm not any more Mayan than I am Judeo-Christian.

Gotta love people who get their panties in a knot just because of a few earthquakes that happen to happen in proximity to each other.

Im not worried about any end of the world theories. I believe the world goes through cycles and this is just one of them.

There is, as far as i am aware in my small corner of the world, no 'madness' going on around the world weather and people wise, unless i missed something. This reminds me of all the facebook and email posts i am getting telling me Mother Nature is upset with us and is showing her displeasure..no. Volcanoes erupt periodically, earthquakes occur, as they always have and always will. There is no Secret, hidden message or meaning to it all. common sense alone is enough to preclude me from any belief in the Apocalypse you refer to. As an add on..out of interest, what is an energy displacer? Thanks. ( :

It's bull and hype. And it is IRRESPONSIBLE to keep perpetuating it. It's not a game.

There is no significant change in the long-term weather patterns. There is no reputable scientists who buy into this crap that we are doomed.

Do you realize the damage being done because of this global warming/2012/biblical prophecies exaggeration and hype???

Policies are being made, laws and regulations are being pushed, that are costly and unnecessary, having consequences for different industries and various businesses (some small businesses end up suffering and going out of business because they can't take the loss!) While others-- big investors in "green" technology (like Al Gore) are getting rich. Others are preying on the religious, such as selling "rapture insurance" or taking money from devout Christians to send letters to loved ones after the tribulations begin.

Some people are really scared-- being freaked out by the hype afraid they are going to die in a couple of years. Some kids are growing up with all this hype thinking "what's the point-- it's all ending soon!"

Do you really think that's funny? Do you really think it's worth the drama?

This pisses me off because I've lived through 3 equally major "doomsday" dates-- the first couple, when I was a child and a teen, I went on for years being afraid that I would never get to grow up.

It is so not fair to keep doing this to people. It's sickening.
