Anyone have tips for free promoting for self published ebooks?

I did great with the free book giveaway promotion on Amazon, but since then I have only sold two copies. Anyone out there have any sites that are free that are great for reaching a bigger audience for my book. Or maybe just some great tips in general. I already have a Twitter account and Facebook account set up for it, but selling only two copies in a week seems a little harsh. Any information is well appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Selling anything is though but books are some of the hardest. depending on where you live can help a lot if you have a friend at a small community college he or she maybe able to help you but you have to keep in mind, you might think its good but do other people. people can be very mean I am not trying to generalize but its true and sometimes a good idea can go south very very fast. also if you have a friend who is in the computer and or communications field they maybe able to help you with putting something together but you may have to pay them a service fee or a percentage of your book sales and if you dont sell enough you may be in debt.
