How do I get over my fear abt being a little overweight?
I just started talking to my childhood boyfriend(like gradeschool) on facebook. It is twenty years later, and we are really liking one another. I am going to see him for the first time this weekend, and I am scared to death that he wont find me physically attractive... any ideas?

Talk with your doctor and ask for xanax to help you through the day

Don't worry too much about it he shouldn't be that shallow as not to like you because you're a little overweight.. i actually have the same fear.. at least had..every time i was in a similar situation but everything just turns out fine.. feel confident about yourself and don't think too much about it...your personality will cover for everything.. just love the way you look<3

It's you he's come to see and if he's a good friend he won't judge on you being overweight.
The passage of time makes us all a little wrinkly around the edges, he may have put on weight as well, and you will just have to relax, kick back and he will see that the real you, even with a few extra curves, will still be there... You will have so much to catch up on, if there's still a spark there, then that will hopefully be obvious from both sides...but above all relax and enjoy Good luck |

Just remember that people fall in love for nice personalities, and people fall in lust for nice bodies.
If you're only a little overweight, he probably won't notice. I doubt he expects you to be the same size you were when you were 10. And if he is repulsed by a little body fat, then he probably isn't a great guy anyway. |

You are who you are. Remember he's going to be nervous about how he looks too. 20yrs changes everyone. He's not going to look like the football hero, and you don't look like the head cheerleader. That's life, get over it and enjoy who you've become.

I'm sure you are going to try on about 50 different outfits to see which one makes you look best. If you are really insecure about it, pick a pretty top that still shows off your boobs. Guys will overlook a few extra pounds if you have a decent set of jugs. You should also make sure to wear a warm smile and be affectionate with him (not sexual, but touchy-feely). No perfume, but scented body lotion is ok.
Stay positive, fun and don't complain about ANYTHING. He will want to see you again. |
