Fellow Atheists, how would you react if your Christian relative posted this on Facebook?

I'd PM her asking her not to do that, nothing offensive or harsh, just a simple "Sorry, we don't believe that but I appreciate the thought".

As far as the prayers go, I wouldn't think about it. Believers can do whatever. Burn incense, beat some drums, throw a penny in a well, read bird entrails, I don't care - it doesn't affect me.
As far as the personal info, you could always tactfully suggest to your aunt that she leave the more personal details out of it - for the sake of protecting your mother's identity and privacy. |

Until she thanks a god instead of the doctors, I have no issue with it.

I wouldn't like it if someone posted my personal business online like that. I'd tell them I appreciate their concern and good intention but that I'd like them to remove the info they typed about me. My mom is also a private person, she wouldn't like it someone, family or otherwise, posted her business online for all to see.
Hope your mom is doing OK. |

In this age of social media, people often reveal too much information to the world when they are not stressed. Under stress, it is not surprising that this occurs as well. I would suggest that you close your Facebook account if you do not understand this without someone having to explain it to you.
