how do i block notifications from facebook?

facebook sending me notifications on my mail . how can i stop it?

You can control what email notifications Facebook sends to you from your Notifications Settings.

1.Click the account menu at the top right of any Facebook page and choose Account Settings.
2.From the left column menu, click Notifications.
3.In the Recent Notifications section at the top half of the page, you can click the next to specific notifications you've received to disable each notification type. Or, you can scroll down to the All Notifications section and use the Edit links to set your preferences.

If the notification is from an app, you can block the app on Facebook. To block an application, navigate to the application’s about page. At the lower left column of the page, click Block App.

This is simple..
1.Log on to your facebook account
2.in the pc version, in the right top, there will be links to get account settings
3.if you check the options, u can see the options to control notifications to mail , phone no. etc..
4. You can uncheck all the notifications that need to be sent to your mail address
5. Save it and get back to your work, It's all ok now..

After you logged in to your account , click on the Small arrow-like shape at the top of your page(right side of the blue toolbar) and then click on "Account setting".
now you'll have a page to customize your facebook setting and from the left sided tool box click on the notifications.
finally you have two options to block some of the notifications:
1. You can click on the email Frequency check-box Button.
2.or from the bottom of that page you can exactly decide which things to send you notifications!
