When do you change your relationship status on Facebook when you have a new bf/gf?

Hi, me and my current boyfriend have been seeing each other for 3,5 months. I changed my relationship status a while ago on facebook, but he hasn't (he doesn't show his relationship status at all).

I know it's silly but I'd like for him to let people know he's taken...
Should I send him a relationship request?

I've had a girlfriend for four months but I don't shout about it on facebook. If someone thinks you arent taken, then when they start flirting with you, you just say 'I have a girlfriend, btw'.

to be honest if i was you i wouldnt even BOTHER with the whole facebook thing because even if you have MARRIED on there are some people out there that have no regard for that and will still HIT on your other half so .... it doesn't really matter !!
