What does this do in google>>>>#lost site:twitter.com?
I was looking up something about lost on google and came across this updating newsfeed on people's twitter updates. I played with it and it works by putting anything after the # and putting any site like myspace.com after site: What exactly is this?

That searches for the hashtags on twitter. A hashtag is a way of saying 'my twitter status is about x' so when you search that on google, you're saying 'find twitter posts where the subject is lost'.
