What age is right to have a Facebook account?

My ten year old sister wants to have a Facebook account.
My questions to you:
What age did you get your Faceboook?
Is ten to young, if ten what age?
Do you think she will enjoy it?

They allow you to have one (legally) at the age of thirteen, but lots of people change the year they were born so they can have one earlier...I got mine when I was thirteen. If lots of her friends have one, then I guess she'll like it. It is kinda pointless though

I opened my Facebook account when I started University, but I think 10 is fine. Eventually kids need to learn how to control themselves and not use the internet too much as it gets addictive-this can take years. They also need to get used to the internet as it is really a different world. Better start early!

I actually encourage her to use it as it will teach her to be more social.

Im 14 and had my first facebook account at 11. My mom constantly checked it and taught me about being safe online.I think she will enjoy it though. If you make sure her page is private then no pervs will be able to contact her. No personal information will be shown and if you look up how to do certain things her page and pictures will be private. Facebook knows that kids are online and has made it really safe. From a kids perspective I believe it will be fun and enjoyable she will have a good time being able to contact her friends play games and use the site.

Hey I I Love Cookies! The legal age for Facebook is 13. I believe that 10 is not a right age for Facebook as social networking sites can either: 1.) Ban or 2.) a hacker might hack/molest your sisters account. It's up to you/your parents to decide that. :-) I hope you have an awesome day!

10 is little young but she can have one but I have to warn you she might get a addition! And her account might get deleted if they find out she is under age
