does anyone else think that a nine year old should not have a facebook?

My 9 year old sister has a facebook i told my mother that she should not have one for a number of reasons and she just flipped out and said its fine! Am I wrong in thinking this??

I 100% agree with you! 9 year olds should definitely not have facebook. I'm 14 and i just got mine. Who knows how many creepers there are who can hack or see your personal info like what school, your e-mail and from there they can pretty much find anything about you, even your adress! I remember the first time i got it (last year, then i deleted the account and got a new one about 2 months ago) i had some spanish guy request me as a friend and that kinda creeped me out! Who would your 9 year old sister be talking to anyways? No 9 year old I know barely even goes on the computer!
She should definitely delete it.

You have to be like 13 years old to "legally" have a Facebook anyway. Besides, what's a 9 year old doing on Facebook? For God's sake the kid doesn't have a social life. Why is she going about posting pictures and shit when she's still in Elementary School? I totally agree - kids should not have FB until they are in Junior High.

Well to put this easier i would go by the age requirements of facebook. Now i noticed that the age for facebook is not 9 and up, i believe its older so actually your sister is lieing about her age and is making herself sound older and you have to worried about the "fake" age she put her self as because one thing is that if she puts down the minimum age requirements then i guess its ok even though she still change her age but if she puts her self as a 18 year old then that is bad because for once, why would she want to be a 18 year old if shes only 9? Also, other individuals on facebook might think shes 18 and older or even 16 or 15 and may conflict on something that is obviously not suitable for a 9 year old.

Im 14. Im a girl. And I dont got a fb. Reasons why:

1.) online predetors...obviously, everyone talks about that one
2.) cyber bullying......oh no little tommy will get his feelings hurt cause someone com. on his pic :0
other reasons no one considers are
3.) You get totaly sucked into it. i have friends that neglect school (and friends) to chat on fb
4.) Way too much drama. I always hear about "cyber" fights.....pretty stupid in my opinion. whatever
5.) People have the chance to really get up their butts. Not saying this will happen to your sister, but who know....sorry too her too
6.) She freakin 9, shouldnt she be on webkinz or something?
