What's so great about social neworking?
Everyone loves Facebook and Twitter and stuff like that, but I don't really get the whole social networking thing. My friend wants me to join Facebook, but I don't see the point. Can someone please explain to my what's so amazing/addicting about social networking?

It allows people to stay in touch with little effort. Also, it's a great way for spying on people.

To keep in touch with friends better. If your content with your relationship with your friends then don't.. Its just to see what your friends are doing and to communicate with them

it's not really...it's just another thing to help you procrastinate on homework and actually it's been said that social networking has made people more shy

Nothin is so great about it.

And "everyone" does not love facebook, twitter and such.

I don't even have a twitter. And I only use myspace and facebook for relatives and people living far away who I can't talk to in person.

So I don't think they are "amazing" or "addicting" in the least.

Because aside from letting you meet friends old and new and connect with them via chat, messages and comments, it also keeps you entertained with games, quizzes and more. Some social networking sites also lets you find somebody to answer your question about your locale, and serve as your online travel guide to any city, like what http://www.seioo.com/ does.
