ways to convince my mom to get me a facebook for christmas?

I have an AIM but nobody goes on that anymore so i want a facebook. My mom doesnt want me to get one (even though my sister has one) can u give reasons that facebook is perfectlly safe?

you dont have to put any private information that you don't want shared on it. you can adjust the levels of privacy and who can view the information that you did put on there. its a great way to talk to people who don't have a phone or a myspace.
