how to convince your parents to let you get a twitter account?
I really want a twitter account to connect with friends and stuff. my parents were talking with my grandparents and they said no facebook. I know you can but your twitter on privacy settings and I wouldn't reveal personal info. What should I do?

Listen, both facebook and twitter can have super, major privacy settings. That ONLY your friends can see.

If you're mostly referring to Twitter, there's literally about two sentences of info you share, and you can leave it blank. You can also leave Facebook blank. Then all you do on twitter is tweet, and follow others. And you can make it private. NO ONE can see it unless they're following you, which you give them permission to.

On facebook, you can have it so no one can even SEARCH for you. No one can view ANY part of your account. No one can view your comments, or view your comments on your friends' pages.

Unless your parents think you're just that stupid, you're not going to run into any problems.
