One wall for all to see -- what if I don't want my boss to talk to my mother? What if I want to have a secret group of friends that no one knows about?

I don't think you should have a FB account. You can't even figure out Yahoo Answers. Wrong category, genius.

You can make lists of people within Facebook so that you can share one status with one group of people such as Co-Workers, and only your Co-Workers will see that status. Or you can share a status with Co-Workers and Friends, but not Family. It's up to you to make the lists and then use them accordingly.

FB has a help page specifically on this and how to use it.

That's what places like this are for.

Be very afraid. They wouldn't let my mom join Pinterest without a Facebook or Twitter account, so I made a Facebook for my dad. I'm pretty sure that's one of the signs of the apocalypse.

Facebook is for attention whores and people who don't realize the security risks involved even if you've got everything set to "private" (if they use their real names). I can guarantee if I can get to someone you friended, I can get to stuff you /think/ is private. I'm not even the security expert in this house. My husband is - it's what he does for a living.

No....? Facebook is awesome you should get it the worst thing that will happen is that you won't like it and if you don't like it than you can just delete it. Smile and if there's people you don't want to see your wall you can have privacy setting.

I do not use Facebook or Twitter or any social media due to privacy concerns.
