I have found my long lost sister on facebook, how do i tell her that she is my sister?

I recently found my long lost half-sister on facebook we have the same dad but different mum i want to add her to tell her that she is my sister but i don't know how to. And i also have not seen my dad my whole life and i don't want to see me any suggestions?
